While the products are integral to the need it is the innovative application of the technology which creates the best solution. It is in this area that Interactive Presentations Pty Ltd have an unmatched track record in the creative use of computer technology incorporating the Internet.

The key elements overviewed below provide incredible flexibility when resolving the most complex security related problems, some of which are outlined in the case studies. The complete range of products and services have been sourced from a number of carefully selected manufacturers and service providers to create a unique solution customised to your organisation.

To simplify this enormously complex area we have broken the basics of digital security into four key areas:

First, the eyes of the system, the camera:

The camera options available to our clients range from under $100 to nearly $1,000 depending on quality of image, application and functionality. All cameras include motion detectors which can be programmed to set off an alert at a remote location.

Cameras range from black and white to advanced full colour units which automatically adapt for darkness and record images at night with little ambient light. More expensive options include cameras which pivot, zoom and tilt (PZT) and cameras which can zoom in optically 23x with auto focus. These top end options have to be viewed to be fully appreciated.

Second, the image capturing system:

The images captured by the cameras are recorded directly to hard disk at up to 50 frames per second. The capturing system intelligently stores images with the assistance of camera-based motion detectors minimising wastage of hard disk space when no movement is taking place within the line of vision.

Displayed here is the control system which manages up to 16 cameras and can capture several weeks of vision on up to 4.5 terabytes (eighteen 250 gByte networked hard disks). The EDR400 is perfect for smaller businesses with the vision of four cameras being captured to hard disk and allowing, Internet-based, remote control of key functions. The operating system on these custom made machines offers a high degree of flexibility and innovative application - as displayed in the case studies.

Third, the network:

It is the flexibility of the network that excites us.

Using the cameras as the source and the image capturing systems as the data capturing centres is just part of the solution provided by OfficeCCTV.Com. The built in software allows you to integrate this live data with remote computers using the Internet and a broad band connection for delivery of the signal.

From this remote source you are able, using the software, outlined below, to control and record events happening at the remote location at any time. When the power of this system is integrated with our bureau service you can save thousands of dollars in securing your greatest asset - your business 24/7.

Fourth, the software:

Because the devices are software driven and data is stored directly to your computer there is incredible functionality when compared with old tape-based technology.

These functions include:

  • remote viewing of up to 16 cameras on one computer screen;
  • remote viewing and control of the cameras and options such as lighting in the premises;
  • remote recording of time segments to your local computer;
  • instant replay from selected date and time (to the second);
  • inexpensive live bureau monitoring to assess whether alerts or events should be investigated; and
  • storage of several days of high quality vision on hard disk before automated overplay of old vision automatically takes place.
